My Thoughts and Musings on an Animated Commercial
Contrary to popular thoughts that a captivating tv commercial is very difficult to create, I strongly believe it isn't. In most ads the time frame restriction usually limited to a few seconds which is a very short time to make a lasting impression. Agama Advertising projects a good commercial as one that isn't particularly clustered with a lot of information that can potentially loose the target audience; but one that connects with the audience, provides information quickly and clearly, memorable and easily recalled and finally one that doesn't confuse the viewer or make them hunt for vital information. I strongly agree with all these points.
The aesthetic quality of a commercial is as important as the message to be conveyed itself. I watched a few animated commercials and I would like to share my thoughts on them.

Not to discredit the effort of the producers of this movie, a few of my thoughts on the characters are seen below:
The early part of this commercial had characters that weren't properly textured and had a very poor video quality. The character in the truck just looked like he had a big black stone as the head, same as the characters with the scene as highlighted below

The characters representing dirt looked very original and were textured better.
Furthermore, the scene's that had the dirt dancing was very entertaining. The doctor's outfit in my opinion wasn't properly textured especially the labcoat.
The best character in this commercial is the main character commander safeguard.
He was properly modelled and textured, with the neck properly defined, shadows defined in the right places and so on.
My analysis of the characters of this ad isn't to ridicule this work as I mentioned earlier but to highlight how keys features in an ad especially the characters can enhance the entertaining value and aesthetic value which are very important is passing a message across.
Watching ads and commercials like this motivate and inspire me to ensure my models come out looking top notch.
